Thanks to our many sponsors

These friends helped Inspiration Alcona begin

In early 2012 Inspiration Alcona was just a dream, a group of people who had banded together to create an arts and music retreat even though they had no venue, no instructors and no money.

Thanks largely to the kindness and generosity of a number of Alcona County businesses and residents, that dream became a reality in September 2012 when the first annual Alcona Arts Retreat was held.

Those donors who trusted us in our first year continue to hold a special place in our hearts.

A number of these original backers continue to help each year. Since 2013 Inspiration Alcona has been a 501(c)3 nonprofit, donations to which are eligible for tax deductions. See the donations page for ways in which to donate.

Grants have helped Inspiration Alcona thrive

Inspiration Alcona has won many grants since its inception. These agencies have been especially generous.

Local individuals and businesses keep Inspiration Alcona going

Even with agency support, however, Inspiration Alcona depends on the generosity of its local donors, almost 100 whose names we know, plus the many cash donors who give what they can at a concert or other program. We value every person who helps us bring art and cultural events to Alcona County.
