What the audience saw

More than 400 people attended the three stagings of Alcona Community Schools’ “The Wizard of Oz” in early May. More than 45 students worked on the show, demonstrating their own courage, heart and smarts.

Singers and dancers get ready for the shows

Dress rehearsals for “The Wizard of Oz” were delayed from the original April schedule because the actors and crew missed many days of preparation when school had snow days and ice days and flood days. No wonder the play features a tornado.
